Back from my visit with Styleyes in Sacramento!

Well I am back from my week with my mentor, Eric Geiger of Styleyes. Here are some great pictures of his shop.

Eric and Gloria at the store

It was a wonderful trip and it really helped to get my head on a little LEVEL and to get going with all of the fun. I have alot of furniture to buy to fill my shop up too! Yikes! Keep watching for more posts!

I got the keys!

I got the keys to my new shop! Here are some pictures of the outside..... hard to get good pics because the center is busy and big. My shop is where "Knowledge Points" was.

Yesterday I had the locks changed, the power turned on and I worked for a few hours on removing the stickers and signs from the front window.

I stopped on the way there at Lowe's and bought a big, safety scraper for the window. I am very dangerous with sharp tools like razors, etc. so I bought the safest one I could find. I got over to the shop and started working on the window. So far, so good. BUT I forgot to remind myself how dangerous I am with this sharp tool BEFORE I started and sure enough, within 10 minutes of beginning the scraping, I sliced my ring finger open wide!

I wrapped it tight with papertowel and went back to working. Really needed stitches but I have had enough of Dr.s and hospitals, so I am playing nurse/doctor and fixing it myself. No, I didn't get my thread and needle out! Just cleaned and bandaged tight and it will be fine soon. My darn left side..... shoulder injury, breast cancer and now this. Thank goodness I am right handed! More tales to come......
